Wilhelmina Couture Originale
This page is dedicated to the stunning creations my mother, Wilhelmina Boudreaux made
for the Tyler Rose Festival between 1977 and 1993. She left us July 2004 but her beautiful
work will forever be remembered.
This page is graphically intense, please be patient while it loads!
Thank you!

These pictures have been restored as best I could!
Faces of individual ladies have been blurred to protect their privacy.
Shown are Mom's assistants, Mary and my talented sister Francine, with an occassional glimpse of me.

Mom believed there was nothing better than a cooling reward after a  days hard  work!
The
Making of a
Tyler Rose Queen
If memory serves, this train was something like 10 foot at it's widest point and 17 feet long.
My sister Fran and myself working on the train. The beadwork was all Swarovski crystals and gold bugle beads on white satin. We had to stop every 15-20 minutes to wash our hands of natural oils so as to not stain the beautiful white satin.
The concept as a sketch.
The idea realized!
